Grieving Family to Speak Out on Retention Pond Safety Following Death of Autistic Toddler

WHAT:
The parents of Kyrie Larry, a 3-year-old autistic child who was found dead in a retention pond outside a Palm Harbor apartment complex, will speak to the public and the media for the first time since the April tragedy. Their attorneys from The Haggard Law Firm, a nationally recognized firm specializing in wrongful death and drowning cases, will join them to announce that a lawsuit is expected in the coming weeks.

The family will plead for stronger safety measures and retention pond regulations, hoping to prevent similar tragedies. They will also speak about the heightened drowning risks facing children on the autism spectrum.

On April 13, 2025, Kyrie Larry left his apartment unit at Bell Lansbrook Village and was later found deceased in an unprotected retention pond on the property. The family, both of whom are hearing impaired, is demanding accountability from property managers and owners, alleging a lack of appropriate safety measures.
