BrandStory Communications’ J.P. Hervis to Speak at National Center for Victims of Crime Advocate Academy
by

On September 2, JP Hervis, award-winning journalist and nationally recognized PR communicator, will represent BrandStory Communications as a panelist at the National Center for Victims of Crime’s Advocate Academy.

The session, titled “Communicating Your Message: Media Engagement & Storytelling,” will focus on strategies for effective press engagement and powerful storytelling to elevate the voices of victims and advocates.

With 25 years of experience in the news business — first as a crime reporter and now as a trusted media relations strategist — JP brings unique insight into how journalists think and how organizations can break through with stories that matter. As a reporter, he spent much of his career covering crime. Today, he and BrandStory Communications are known nationally as the go-to media relations agency for victims of crime, survivors, and high-profile legal cases.

“Our goal has always been to bridge the gap between important stories and the journalists who can amplify them,” says Hervis. “At Brandstory Communications, we believe that media engagement is one of the most powerful tools for advocacy.”

The Advocate Academy is part of the larger National Training Institute, a multi-day national conference that brings together advocates, survivors, attorneys, service providers, and professionals from across the country. The Institute provides cutting-edge training, collaboration opportunities, and best practices for those working on behalf of victims of crime.
